Viking Bond Service is a nationwide Surety and Fidelity Bond Agency that handles all types and amounts of surety bonds. Our team has over a century of combined experience in the surety bond industry. We provide bonding through all major sureties using A Rated, Treasury Listed paper. Viking offers approvals on nearly all of the bond requests that we receive. We do have programs available for clients who would not normally qualify for most standard markets due to credit or financial deficiency. Our goal has always been to provide our clients with friendly, honest, and efficient service.

Viking Bond Service works with clients and agents from coast to coast. When sending paperwork or processing information we are the industry leaders in efficiency. We use a proprietary database and file processing system specifically designed for tracking and processing surety bonds. The database is maintained by our in-house technical team and tracks all current files, new submissions, and renewals. All data is processed and stored electronically using our database which allows Viking to operate as a paperless company. This as well as our highly trained staff ensures a faster turnaround time and better service for our customers. Nearly all documents are shipped through tracked overnight service.

History of Viking Bond Service

Viking Bond Service was formed in early 2002 by its founder Michael Herranen. Michael knew that “paperless” was the direction to follow and thus sowed the seeds of the company in this fashion. Forms were created and systems put in place all in keeping with writing bonds without relying on or storing paper. In 2003 James Charles joined the team bringing with him exceptional knowledge and expertise in computing and network systems as well as a surety background. In late 2003 Viking moved its offices from Mesa, Arizona to Peoria, Arizona our current and final location.  In late 2004 William Belpedio became a Viking and thus added his surety bond expertise and exceptional work ethic. In 2005 Thomas Buckner joined Viking. Thomas brought with him many years of surety experience, with and exceptional strength in contract surety (bid, payment, and performance bonding).

Today Viking enjoys a large book of business made up exceedingly of standard surety accounts.  With thirteen employees, our home office in Peoria, Arizona and satellite offices in Gilbert, Arizona and Tupelo, Mississippi, Viking Bond Service has grown to become one of the premier surety agencies in the nation. Viking is appointed with and writes bonds through nearly all of the major surety companies in the United States.
